Nothing leaves your phone.
Stepling reads your steps from Apple Health and shows them to you. That is the whole of it: there is no account, no server, and nothing to leak.
The short version
Stepling has no account system and no server. Your step count, distance and flights climbed are read from Apple Health, used on your phone, and never sent anywhere.
Health data
With your permission, Stepling reads three things from Apple Health: step count, walking and running distance, and flights climbed. It never writes to Apple Health, and it asks for no other data type.
Those numbers are used to draw the app's charts and to fill in your widgets. The widgets read Apple Health directly, and read a small shared file Stepling leaves on your device for the moments they can't, because while your phone is locked Apple Health is sealed even to Stepling. Everything stays on the device. Nothing about them is transmitted, backed up to us, or shared with any third party, including the analytics service below.
You can withdraw access at any time in the Health app, under Sharing → Apps → Stepling. Stepling will keep working; it just won't have anything to show.
Purchases
Stepling Pro is a one-time purchase handled by Apple. Payment details never reach Stepling.
Purchases are managed through RevenueCat, which records that a purchase happened so it can be restored on your other devices. It receives an anonymous identifier and the receipt Apple issues, never your name, your email, or any health data.
Analytics
Stepling uses Firebase Analytics to count how its features are used: which chart period you switch to, whether the widget gallery gets opened, where the Pro sheet was opened from, and whether onboarding was finished.
No health values are ever included in an analytics event: not step counts, not distances, not streaks, and not your daily goal. The events record which parts of the app were used, never what they showed.
What Stepling does not do
No ads, and no ad networks. No tracking across other apps or websites. No accounts, no sign-in, no cloud sync. No selling of data, because there is no data to sell.
Children
Stepling is not directed at children under 13 and collects nothing that could identify anyone of any age.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the updated version ships with the app update that changes it, and the date at the top moves.

The same words, in the app
This page is the policy that ships inside Stepling, under Settings → Privacy policy, word for word. Two policies that disagree would be worse than one policy in one place. See also the terms of use.
